I'm in Cincinnati for a week of training for my new job (I'll be working from home after this week). I'm really enjoying the training and looking forward to the health physics work. It's now been over 72 hours away from Luke & Scott and it's starting to get a little weird! I'm posting this older video of Scott playing peekaboo back in College Station at 6 or 7 months old so you can enjoy his filmed cuteness and miss him like I do. ;) I know Ellen's taking great care of him, though, and am so glad for a supportive husband who was all "Go for it!" about the job.
Also on my mind lately: the beautiful lyrics to "Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing". (<-- btw, I do not like to protect the period punctuation within the quotation marks. It used to be necessary for typsetters to place it inside so as not to jam up the printer because the period stamp thing was little and delicate, but it's totally not necessary now and is nonsensical. Check out Eats Shoots & Leaves for more fun punctuation facts!)
Favorite verse this week:
Here I raise my Ebenezer;
Here by Thy great help I've come;
And I hope, by Thy good pleasure,
Safely to arrive at home.
Jesus sought me when a stranger,
Wandering from the fold of God;
He, to rescue me from danger,
Interposed His precious blood.
