Tonight Scott was sitting on my lap, watching Sesame Street clips on the computer. In
one of them, they sang the ABCs. He asked to be put down (by pointing down, leaning and making a "Mmmhhh?" sound), walked to the fridge, and pushed the button on this magnet that plays the ABC song, looking right at me. Wow! I'm just floored by this. He's, like, here! In full! Alert and communicating! But he was a baby only a few weeks ago!

Such a SMARTIE!!! I can totally understand how exciting this is. And a bit frightening because it happened so fast. But really... waaay more exciting!
That. Is so cool. Wow, that's rather precocious of Scott. I was just watching a clip on Ellen Degeneres where they showed this kid who learned to read from flashcards at 13 months. Like, he could barely speak the words but he could read them. Let me show you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPoNND6qbYg&feature=PlayList&p=2856343391D58AB8&index=35
Apparently his parents got stuff from www.yourbabycanread.com ? Still, smart baby.
Way too cool. He is the best, and handsome too (like is Granddads, ha ha). Thanks Jenn & Luke for letting us visit. We are still in withdrawal. Can't wait to see y'all soon. We are counting the days.
Cheers, Cap.
