Ooo baby baby

I meant to write about something non-baby related in this post, but my mind is handicapped by little sleep ...

One thing I love about being Mommy: I get to sing out loud a lot and my audience doesn't care if I know the real words. Turns out, though, that at 1 am (and 3 am, and 5 am, and 7 am ...), I can't think of many lyrics. I'm driving myself crazy singing "Lullaby and goodnight" and "Leaving on a Jet Plane". I'd sing Tom Petty, but the only songs I know are about girls ("American Girl" and "Free Falling").

What songs does Scott need to hear? Post me a comment & I'll sing them to him! & check out Karen's excellent nerd rock recommendation: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DMiRZ48d4Nc&NR=1

Jenn! I have songs that Scott needs to be sung! But I will have to bring them to you on a CD. They are not all songs that I can find on the internets for you. For now, I suggest Iron and Wine "Such Great Heights", though that one's kind of a love song but oh well, "Yellow" by Coldplay, and "Sons and Daughters" by the Decemberists. Also "Winken, Blinken, and Nod" by Fred Penner is a good lullaby. Also "You'll Be In My Heart" from Tarzan. Good baby song! I'm totally making a CD.

Also! "Somewhere Out There" that Fivel sings in An American Tale! Good one, Bridget!

Once you learn the words, this'll be sure to put baby Scott to sleep!

My fall back is always "Love Me Tender" by Elvis. "Baby Mine" is another good one... but I know the Bette Midler version... you sing it, girl :)
